About
Floot is an AI app builder that works inside the AI chat you already use. You add Floot as a connector to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI app, describe what you want, and Floot builds the whole app, including the backend, database and hosting, then publishes it to the web and, if you like, to the iOS App Store and Google Play. Floot's homepage says it is backed by Y Combinator, and the company is based in San Francisco. As of October 2026 Floot has a free plan, Pro at $25 a month and Power at $100 a month. It sits alongside the builders on our best vibe coding apps list. What Floot does • Build from your AI chat: connect Floot to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and build from a normal conversation. Floot says there is "no git, no terminal, no build credits", because the building runs on your existing AI subscription. The Floot connector officially launched on 25 August 2026. • Backend, data and logins: apps can save data, let users create accounts and run recurring tasks, with Floot handling the setup. • Emails and notifications: send emails, receipts and updates, and (since July 2026) push notifications, without extra tools. • Web and mobile publishing: publish a web app with one click, and turn any Floot website into iOS and Android apps. Floot runs the build and sends the iOS app to TestFlight and the Android app to Google Play, with no Mac, Xcode or Android Studio needed (launched 22 September 2026). • Integrations: Stripe payments, Google login, Zapier and other services, with step-by-step setup. Since 29 September 2026 apps can also let users connect Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive without a Google Cloud project. • Floot AI: in-app AI features such as speech-to-text with speaker labels (Gemini 3.5 Transcribe) and fast classification with Jev, billed through Floot credits with no API keys. • SEO basics: Floot says it adds SEO essentials automatically so search engines can understand your app. Pricing (as of October 2026) Floot advertises "2 months free" on yearly billing. • Free: $0 a month. 100 building actions a day, 2 mobile app builds a month and Floot branding. No hosting credit or AI credits included. • Pro: $25 a month, or $21 a month billed annually. 1,000 building actions a day, $10 of hosting a month, 5,000 AI credits a month, a custom domain plus 1 free domain (provided through IONOS), Floot badge removal, priority support and 12 mobile app builds a month. • Power: $100 a month, or $83 a month billed annually. 5,000 building actions a day, $25 of hosting a month, 15,000 AI credits a month, custom domains, badge removal, priority support and unlimited mobile app builds. Floot counts an "action" as any edit, read or similar step your AI assistant runs through Floot; failed actions do not count and limits reset daily. AI credits are only for in-app AI features and the optional Floot agent. Floot's changelog (24 July 2026) says extra AI credits can be bought at $1 for 1,000 credits and that purchased credits expire after 60 days. Connecting Google Play requires a paid plan, while Apple publishing is available on every plan; you still need your own Apple and Google developer accounts to publish to the stores. Recent launches (from the official changelog) • 23 October 2026: a daily hosting budget, so a bug or traffic spike pauses apps for the rest of the day instead of running up the bill, with an email at 80%. • 20 October 2026: a referral program that gives half a month free ($12.50 in credit) for each referred friend who upgrades. • 16 October 2026: internally published apps know who is signed in, so you can build per-person records, audit trails and roles without a separate login. • 14 October 2026: Examples, which show staged screens such as loading, empty and error states of a page in the preview. • 12 October 2026: a fixed outbound IP for services that need an allowlist, at $10 a month per project on paid plans with 5 GB of traffic included. • 30 September 2026: internal publish, so only people you invite can open an app. The free plan includes 5 invited users across all apps. Who it suits • Non-technical founders and small business owners who already use Claude or ChatGPT and want a real app with a database and logins. • People who want one project to become a website and iPhone and Android apps without a Mac or native code. • Teams building internal tools, dashboards and client previews that should only be visible to invited people. Limitations to know • Floot works through an outside AI assistant, so you need Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or a similar AI app, and that subscription's own limits apply. • The free plan includes no hosting credit or AI credits and keeps the Floot badge. • Store publishing needs Apple and Google developer accounts, and Google Play needs a paid Floot plan. • The fixed outbound IP is an extra $10 a month per project.
