OpenHands, formerly OpenDevin, is an open-source agent platform that gives an AI a sandboxed terminal, browser and file system and lets it work a task end to end: reading code, running commands, browsing docs and committing changes. Because it is open source and self-hostable, you choose the model behind it and keep the code on your own infrastructure, which matters for teams that cannot send a private repository to a hosted agent. It is the most credible open alternative to closed agents like Devin.
